Gennosuke was Yuto's paternal grandfather and the late head of the Amakawa clan along with his wife Sawako. They both raised the young boy when he was just a child, but that life ended instantly when Yuto's parents come and took with them to live a normal family life somewhere elsewhere. Because of his parents distance from the clan's history as demon slayers Yuto wasn't even allowed ta attend at their funeral.
